The Digital Aquarium is an important initiative in the pursuit of
a number of strategic priorities: engaged learning, innovative teaching and reaching more students.
Currently, there seems to be no clear process for
trialling or raising innovative ideas, which may or may not become a major project. Who do you contact? What is the process for developing a proof of concept? And how do you get support?
These are important questions which we need to address and perhaps take leadership.
Apart from creating awareness of the Digital Aquarium, we want to promote the services and the interventions which will take place later in the year. We also want to create a website where people can go to for information and assistance.
Communication should be a two-way street and finding a way to faciliate and encourage discussion and exchange of ideas will be a challenge but one that could lead to potential treasure.

naming update
After an exhaustive search and voting process, we have found a
name for the Octopus in our logo (see previous entry).
It was a close call and divided the team but the winning name was “Eddy Eight Legs” or “Ed” for short.

And here is the video, "A Day Made of Glass", which Dr Tim Kitchen from Adobe referred to at the Mobility Conference Panel Discussion. A glimpse of the near future?
